Kangana, The Queen of Hearts

The model turned actress Kangana Ranaut is in high spirits after the tremendous success and appreciation of her recent movie Queen. After doing Queen, she has become ‘the Queen of Hearts’. This is a significant Bollywood marker, which is intensely local and gloriously global.

In the movie, Kangana has played the role of simple Punjabi girl, Rani, who faces rejection by her fiance Vijay (Rajkumar Rao) on a day before her wedding. She was shattered but somehow she manages and decided to go to the pre-decided destination Paris for her honeymoon all alone, which she had always dreamt of.

Her experiences outside the comfort zone on foreign land was outlandish, the interaction with varied people she encounters in Paris first and Amsterdam later, the atmospherics and many other things. During her journey in Paris and Amsterdam she discovered countless things: friends, confidence, life and cleared many obstacles which made her tough. Most importantly, she learned the joys of breaking free, cherishing life and living on her own terms.

In Queen, Kangana’s first women-centered movie, she performed outstandingly. The actor has been receiving compliments from every corner for her performance. Right from critics to B-Town to audience, everyone is going gaga over the film and Kangana’s exemplary acting. From this movie she showed her new avatar. Although she did justice to all her roles, but Kangana was getting stereotyped as playing only ‘disturbed’ and ‘hysterical’ roles, and required a radical image makeover.

In her debut movie ‘Gangster’ she showed her acting skills and bagged Best Female Debut. She received National Award for her excellent performance in the movie ‘Fashion’. Her kitty has many movies like Krissh 3, Once upon a time in Mumbai, Kite, Life…in a Metro, Raaz-2 etc. Tanu Weds Manu proved to be a game changer in Kangana’s B-town career and now it’s Queen in which Kangana has proved she has the ability to grab the audience to big screens.
