Kochadaiyaan, India’s first Photorealistic 3D Movie

Tamil mega star Rajnikanth always open a box full of different variety of sweets for his fans with variation in his characters. Once again he is ready to write a new chapter in the Indian Film History. With his Tamil movie “Kochadaiyaan” he has become the first actor to introduce or use the latest Motion Capture Technology similar to Hollywood Blockbuster “Avatar”. Earlier his fans watched him in double role of a scientist and an amazing character of sophisticated android robot named “Chitti” in the movie “Enthiran” (Robot), which was a science fiction techno thriller with high end 3d animations and visual effects.

Kochadaiyaan is the first photorealistic 3D animated movie to be produced in India. It is a periodic film which will showcase Rajnikanth in two roles. This animation technology captures the “performance of the artist through facial scanning and intensive research and then developed using technologies rather manual rigging and animation”.

Motion capture a branch of animation industry, very common in today’s world is the process of recording the movement of objects or people. It is used in military, entertainment, sports, and medical applications, and for validation of computer vision and robotics.
